A lot of people often wonder what Autumn Lee Productions is all about. Over the years its purpose and direction has changed as the music industry enters new phases of being. One thing that has never changed is my passion for music and my belief in the artist. My intention in building my roster of clients is not about finding the established super groups. I take the super group that maybe people have forgotten about and help to reinvent them. I find the artist who has an amazing catalog of original music and find them a band, put them in the studio and help to shape their mindset so that they come to understand they have have something relevant, fresh, and powerful to offer. I take the group just starting out and tell them what to wear, when to tap their feet, what lighting will look good on them...because all of that matters. They don’t know it when I first find them but soon thereafter, when they make those subtle changes, they are playing their music on a whole new level.
I get the folks who just recorded a beautiful record and bring them to the radio stations, introduce them to writers, have them meet key talent buyers. I’ll get a gifted musician who hasn’t had all the breaks and help them to imagine all they can be if they don’t give up, if they just trust me a little bit. I get the artists who allow me to see their beautiful, lovely, unique potential and then I encourage them, I push them, I promote what I see because in all cases so far, they begin to see it in themselves. My tools that work for me include a far reaching social media presence. I’ve had 45 years experience in communications and that experience comes out in what I write, how I communicate with my artist, how I deal with talent buyers, and how I get the public excited about those dreamers in my roster. I believe in having coffee with those I work with. I like to talk to the venue owners face to face. I plan message points for my artists. I tell them what to say on stage and what to say on the radio. I like to go into the recording studio and have a seat in the process of recording good music. I love bringing artists together in collaboration and produce shows that just pull the audience in ways not done before while acknowledging the artists are creating something so magical, something they maybe didn’t think was possible.
Again, what I believe I do best is encourage anyone who ever wanted to be on stage and be heard. I love running up to the artist after their show and hugging them tight because by them stepping out, I feel so much joy, definitely an unspeakable joy. And while maybe none of this will mean anything to you, I have artists, the same ones I just mentioned to you, that can now boast of successful tours, hit records, media attention, and fully prominent in the minds of anyone who enjoy hearing live music or in need of a really cool record to spin. They live in L.A., they work in Nashville, they hold #1 chart placements around the world, and most of all they thrill those who are in the heart of music capitals around the country. In Louisiana, they are bright beaming stars, who may not all carry a Grammy but they touch lives, hearts, and the soul of those who need healing. Because after all, not just on my account, but the very source of all music has been scientifically proven to be healing. And that’s why I do what I do. I believe music heals. And if you give my clients that chance, that shot, that spot on the radio, in your venues...you end up doing a whole lot than just entertaining. You heal. And that is simply sacred.
